New Section Chairs
JONATHAN HOFFMAN (FAMILY LAW)
Jonathan Hoffman (Family Law), currently
serving as the Chair of the Family Law Section,
is an experienced family law attorney handling a
wide range of domestic relations matters including
divorce, support, custody, equitable distribution,
prenuptial/postnuptial agreements and protection from abuse actions.
His practice also consists of tax-related issues in complex support and
equitable distribution matters.
Jonathan is a frequent speaker and author on such topics as
taxation and divorce, ethics in family law matters, divorce over 50,
the judicial interview of children in custody litigation and family law
practice management. The Legal Intelligencer named him a "Lawyer on
the Fast Track" and for the last six years he has been named a "Rising
Star" by Super Lawyers magazine.
Jonathan earned his law degree and LL.M in taxation from
Villanova University School of Law. He earned his undergraduate
degree in history and political science at the University of Pittsburgh.
AIMEE L. KUMER (YOUNG LAWYERS)
Aimee L. Kumer (Young Lawyers), currently
serving as the Chair of the Young Lawyers
Section, is a shareholder in Elliott Greenleaf's
Blue Bell office. Aimee represents businesses and
individuals in a broad range of matters including
complex commercial and employment litigation. She has extensive
experience in complex commercial disputes, including contract
disputes, business torts, shareholder litigation and class actions. Aimee
has also both sought and defended against numerous injunctions in
both state and federal court in a variety of commercial contexts. She
further has significant experience in a wide variety of employment
discrimination, wage law and civil rights litigation matters. Aimee
has particular experience representing clients in the healthcare field in
their commercial litigation, regulatory, medical staff and employment
needs. She has been repeatedly honored as a Pennsylvania Rising Star.
Aimee is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the Third
Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Aimee currently serves as an officer in the Young Lawyers Section of
the Montgomery Bar Association. Through her involvement with the
Young Lawyers Section, Aimee initiated the Bar Association's annual
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Aimee also volunteers her
time representing children who are the victims of crime and abuse
through the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Prior to joining
Elliott Greenleaf, Aimee was a law clerk to the Honorable Joel H.
Slomsky in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Aimee graduated
magna cum laude from the Temple University Beasley School of
Law, and with awards in several areas including constitutional and
corporate law, and the Faculty Award for Academic Achievement.
While at Temple, Aimee was a Beasley Scholar, the Senior Note/
Comment Editor for the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review,
and a member of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society. Aimee
earned her undergraduate degrees at the Pennsylvania State University
and Schreyers Honors College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and with
honors. At Penn State Aimee played for the Penn State Club Water

Polo Team and was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi national honors
fraternity. Aimee and her husband, daughter, two dogs and one cat
live in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
ETHAN R. O'SHEA (TRIAL LAWYERS)
Ethan R. O'Shea (Trial Lawyers), currently serving
as the President of the Trial Lawyers Section,
is a Principal at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin,
Maxwell & Lupin and has been a member of
the firm's Litigation Department for 14 years.
He currently chairs the firm's Employment Law Group. His practice
focuses on employment law, commercial litigation, and criminal law.
Ethan has counseled corporate and individual clients on a variety of
employment, commercial and criminal matters. Ethan also appears
regularly before the PA Human Relations Commission and the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and has tried cases
in the federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania. Prior to
joining the firm, Ethan was a Senior Deputy District Attorney with
the Bucks County District Attorney's Office, where he served as a
member of the Child and Sexual Abuse Unit and prosecuted a wide
variety of criminal cases in the Court of Common Pleas. Before
joining the District Attorney's Office, Ethan served as a Law Clerk
for The Honorable Edward G. Biester, Jr., Bucks County Court of
Common Pleas. Ethan is a member of the Pennsylvania, Bucks and
Montgomery Bar Associations. He has lectured for the Pennsylvania
Municipal Authorities Association, Montgomery Bar Association
and People's Law School concerning employment law. Ethan serves
as Secretary of the Plymouth Community Ambulance Association,
has been a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Montgomery
County and Bucks County, and has served as a board member for
the Montgomery County Victim-Offender Conferencing program.
A graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in International
Relations (B.A. 1990), Ethan received his J.D. from The George
Washington University National Law Center in 1993. In 2003, he
attended the Academy of Advocacy of Temple University.
