PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Judge Del Ricci reminded us, in a time when information is
instantaneous, the Memorial Service allows us the ability to
stop and take the time to reflect and honor those who made
a difference. At the end of the service, I was reminded to
live each day with enthusiasm and to thank those whom I
treasure.
As I am sure you have heard, beloved MBA staff
member Nancy Hagner decided recently to step down
from her position to spend more time with her family. For
over forty years, the MBA has been blessed by the passion,
charm and kindness that Nancy shared with each of us
every day. Engaging young and seasoned men and women,
she loved learning about our lives, our accomplishments
and even our challenges. With a twinkle in her blue eyes,
Nancy always remembers the details of your life that

matter to you - hobbies, family names, births, deaths, and
everything in between. With her quick smile, Nancy always
pitched in to help whether she was asked or not. Kindness
and compassion are her hallmarks as she made every
member feel important, regardless of age, practice area or
success. To say that Nancy is the fabric of the MBA is an
understatement. As Executive Director Nancy Paul wrote,
"Nancy is the face of the MBA."
Hoping that Nancy knows how we cherish her and
miss her each day, we wish her great health, happiness
and adventures in retirement. Mostly, we hope that she
continues to visit with her MBA family, as we miss her, but
we realize that we need to share her with others.
