WHAT DID YOU LEARN THAT YOU'LL PUT INTO YOUR PRACTICE?

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation's goal is to support clinicians throughout their
careers, so the humanistic passion that motivates them at the beginning of
their education is sustained throughout their practice, and that care and
respect always govern the relationship between practitioner and patient.
More than three hundred healthcare leaders from around the world
attended this conference. The theme was "Cultivating Resiliency Through
Humanism and Community." I presented the results of an interdisciplinary
team selective that the Geisinger Commonwealth Medical Students are
doing with physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, and
others involved in direct patient care. This conference will help to further
the foundation's good work and goals in my practice and in the practice
of the students I mentor.
Dr. Arscott teaches at the Geisinger Commonwealth Medical College.
