implement a "Warm Handoff" policy. A Warm Handoff is
an engagement strategy to connect individuals that have
had an overdose episode with treatment. The primary
strategy is to deploy Certified Recovery Specialists in
local hospitals to engage individuals and create pathways to treatment including inpatient detoxification,
short-term rehabilitation and outpatient care.
