under the lounge seats. On the port side, the small navigation table converts to additional seating for the double foldout dining table (and extra berth) by sliding the table aft and
relocating the cushion to accommodate eight people for dining. Also incorporated into the table are the usual wine bottle
holder and pull-out drink cabinet on the aft end. Integrated
LED lighting throughout gives a soft glow at night and pot
lights in the coachroof and individual reading lights (all with
dimmers) accommodate all manner of individual needs.
Although the galley is compact (in line with a racing boat), it
has generous storage space, a fridge with access from the top
and side, and double sinks with a smart, practical splash
guard. Probably the nicest touch I have seen yet on any boat
was the fabric covered lower section of the mast - adding to
the subtle ambiance of the salon's interior.
Layouts are available in two and three cabins. Both have
a comfortable V-berth master cabin. The standard package
offers a starboard aft cabin and a large port storage space
accessible from the cockpit locker. The three-cabin has identical aft cabins. Both models share a single head on the port
side. A unique design element is the two-way door that closes off the shower and head from the adjoining washbasin and
main cabin, or acts as the door to the port aft cabin with the
shower and head as an en-suite.
Dehler has kept many of her distinct lines - even noticeable some 30 years later with her long, sleek windows.
Coming into the Port Credit Yacht Club harbour we weren't
tied up more than five minutes before Alan and Margaret
Gibson, who own an older Dehler 34 named Griffwn, came

over to marvel at the new boat and admire some of the newer
innovations, but at the same time extolled the virtues of this
most wonderful line of boats.
With strong innovations, excellent resale value, quality
build and finish, and an easy to manage setup that can sail
with a full crew or a husband and wife team, these owners
have fallen in love with their new boat and how everything
works so easily with no glitches. It's a beautiful combination
of a performance racer and luxury cruiser that easily suits
their needs, wants, and desires, and has improved THEIR
performance rather than the performance of the boat! *
