rent boat, Long Way Home is a 2007 60 Sea Ray Sundancer. It is our third boat from
M&P Yacht Centre. I've learned, that two foot-itus is about beam, and usually results
in 12' more boat length.
"My husband was born in Sarnia, Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron. He's always
said "you can take the boy out of the water, but you can never take the water out of the
boy." We live in Calgary but he never stopped looking at boats. He always reached the
same conclusion: Sea Ray. We bought our first Sea Ray at the Vancouver Boat Show in
2007, a 340 Sundancer. When I look back now I realize we had no idea what we were
doing. Our M&P salesman gave us some excellent lessons and I quickly realized that
the captain stays warm while the schleppy (me) does not. Oh well, I was up for the
challenge. Two years later we realized the need for a larger boat (we have 5 adult kids
and now 8 grandkids) so we moved to the 48 Sundancer. Two years after that, well..."
"I am thankful that we were part of the M&P family because every time we gathered for a long weekend we learned something. Dock power, rafting, med tying, boat
systems, you name it. It's nice to be part of a family and I love now being able to give
back to the "newbies" of the fleet." *
The comments from Pam and other Sea Ray owners at the Rendezvous confirm that the
M&P Team have dedicated themselves to serving their customers, providing them with
the very best boating sales and service experience and earning their reputation as
Canada's #1 Boat Dealer.

PAYING IT FORWARD
M&P Yacht Centre and the Sea Ray owners and friends raised over $13,000.00 during
their silent auction in support of the Children's Hospice Canuck Place.
"Canuck Place is a caring, innovative children's hospice and community-based
service that fully embraces the life of each child and family. Canuck Place provides l
eadership in improving pediatric palliative care regionally, nationally and internationally
through collaboration, education and research."

Vantage Point: Putting Your Baby to Bed
Club Profile: Armdale Yacht Club
Destination: Wild Wild West – Sea Ray Rendezvous: We join M&P Yacht Centre’s Wild Wild West Sea Ray Rendezvous this past Labour Day. The M&P Yacht Centre chose Poets Cove as their Rendezvous venue not only for its ample dock space but also for the resort’s numerous amenities. Between events, guests have the option to go for a swim in the pool, play tennis or enjoy a scenic hike on one of the many trails crisscrossing the island. By Bob Nicoll
Destination: Cape Breton – My Personal Playground: Canadian Yachting’s Travel Editor, Elizabeth Kerr took an extended tour of Cape Breton and Bras d’Or Lake sailing on the Alpha 42, Cape Bretoner and experiencing a host of the most interesting and enjoyable features this area has to offer including two World Top 100 golf courses while relaxing with the area’s legendary hospitality. By Elizabeth Kerr
Cruising Destination: The Madeira Archipelago - Garden of the Atlantic: The Madeira Archipelago is a mid-Atlantic group of islands with volcanic origins located about 350 miles off the coast of Morocco. If you're thinking of visiting, you'll be happy to learn that there have been no volcanic eruptions for 6,500 years. Known to the Romans as the Purple Islands, they were rediscovered by the Portuguese in the 15th century under Henry the Navigator. Today, they are an autonomous region of Portugal with a population of about 300,000. By Sheryl and Paul Shard
