Diamond Jubilee offers a rare overview of the history of a
Carnival organization celebrated for its dazzlingly
beautiful parades and balls.
Named for the divine messenger of the ancient Greek gods
and patron of merchants and travelers, Hermes was founded in
1937 by a group of civic-minded businessmen concerned about
