MÉDITERRANÉE ❘ Du thon rouge de ligne toujours mieux tracé

La marque collective Thon rouge
de ligne compte une trentaine de
pêcheurs impliqués en Méditerranée
et en Atlantique.

The collective brand Thon rouge de
ligne is composed by about thirty
fishermen who are involved in the
Mediterranean and the Atlantic.

Montpellier Agro. Un autre projet, mené
avec l'OP Sathoan, vise à réaliser des
actions de géolocalisation monitorées par
la société française Isi-Fish et le groupe
CLS de Toulouse, un opérateur de systèmes satellitaires telles les balises Argos.
Les pêcheurs se penchent aussi sur
la limitation des prises accessoires.
L'application EchoSea, développée par
l'Amop (Association des organisations de
producteurs de Méditerranée) en partenariat avec Ifremer et financée par France
Filière Pêche, les aide. En effet, chaque

permet alors d'identifier en temps réel
sur une carte les zones que les pêcheurs
doivent éviter pour limiter les risques de
prises accessoires. Une nouvelle version,
plus fonctionnelle et disponible sous format Android et iPhone, va être disponible
et surtout ouverte au grand public en
avril. Un moyen de collecter plus de données et de rendre l'information plus fiable
et la méthode plus efficace.

An ever better traceability of line bluefin tuna
While the season for bluefin tuna bait
fishing begins as spring approaches,
the collective brand Thon rouge de
ligne hones its specifications.
Given the good health of the bluefin tuna stock, the famous Thunnus
thynnus, the ICCAT has authorized a sizeable increase in quotas for the next three
years. France will be allowed to fish nearly
5,000 tons in 2018, mostly allocated to
seiners in the Mediterranean.
They alone will be able to capture 4,391 tons. Trawlers and
small traders from the Atlantic
and the Mediterranean also
benefit from the increase and
are allocated a 494 ton fish

Alors que la saison de la pêche au thon
rouge à l'hameçon démarre avec le
printemps, la marque collective Thon
rouge de ligne peaufine son cahier
des charges.
Compte tenu de la bonne santé du
stock de thon rouge, le fameux Thunnus
thynnus, l'Iccat a autorisé une large
hausse des quotas pour les trois prochaines années. La France pourra pêcher
près de 5 000 tonnes en 2018, la majorité étant destinée aux senneurs de
Méditerranée. À eux seuls, ils pourront
capturer 4 391 tonnes. Chalutiers et petits
métiers d'Atlantique et de Méditerranée
profitent aussi de la hausse et sont autorisés à pêcher 494 tonnes.
Pas question pour autant de relâcher les efforts consentis. Les pêcheurs
à l'hameçon - canne, ligne, palangre -

Fishermen also reflect upon the limitation of bycatch. The EchoSea application,
developed by the AMOP (Association of
Mediterranean Producers Organizations)
in a partnership with Ifremer and financed

or sharks). The application then makes it
possible to identify in real time on a map
the areas which fishermen should avoid in
order to limit the risks of bycatch. A new

public in April. A way to collect more data
and make information more reliable and
