Law on unfair practices between businesses EU law is not developed with respect to "minor competition law", i.e. the law governing unfair practices between businesses. Directive 2011/7/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 February 2011 on combating late payment in commercial transactions, has however been adopted. 4. International private law Two regulations on the law applicable to contractual and noncontractual obligations, namely Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 June 2008 on the law applicable to contractual obligations (known as the Rome I Regulation) and Regulation (EC) No 864/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 July 2007 on the law applicable to non-contractual obligations (known as the Rome II Regulation) relate to distribution or competition. The following regulations should also be included with the regulations that relate to jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters: Council Regulation (EC) No 44/2001 of 22 December 2000 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (Brussels I); Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters (Brussels I bis); amended by Regulation (EU) No 542/2014 "as regards the rules to be applied with respect to the Unified Patent Court and the Benelux Court of Justice".
