Trade Media Supports
Consumer Education
The auto care industry trade media
continues to provide tremendous support
for the Car Care Council's "Be Car Care
Aware" consumer education campaign,
greatly assisting in the council's efforts
to promote the benefits of regular
vehicle care, maintenance and repair.
With the trade media's ongoing
assistance, the council has been able
to keep auto care industry members
informed about the campaign's latest
initiatives, as well as encourage industry
companies and organizations to participate
in National Car Care Month in April and
Fall Car Care Month in October. The
trade media has been generous with
devoting their valuable space to run press
releases, bylined articles and house ads.

Google Ad Grant Helps
Car Care Council
Reach Millions

The Car Care Council has again
qualified for up to $500,000 a year in
complimentary advertizing on the Google
Search Network as a recipient of the
Google Ad Grants program for 501(3)
nonprofit organizations. The council
has qualified for the grant since 2014.
The council's Google ads generate
more than an estimated 100,000
viewer impressions a month.

Automotive Experts
Media Group

The Car Care Council recently
partnered with the Automotive Experts
Media Group (AEMG) and its brand
ambassadors to reach automotive
consumers, including DIYers, DIFMers
and enthusiasts, as well as industry
service professionals and shop owners,
to inform them about the "Be Car Care
Aware" campaign on a regular basis.
AEMG programs include Bobby Likis
Car Clinic, Sam's Garage, Under the
Hood, The C.A.R. Show and The Car
Doctor. Given the AEMG hosts are also
shop owners, they carry a high level of
credibility with the target audiences.
Bobby Likis (Bobby Likis Car Clinic)
Bobby Likis is a respected automotive
expert and the only car-talk host on
commercial radio named five times to
the prestigious "Talkers 250" (the top
250 talk-show hosts in America). On air
since 1991 and now videocasting live
from his custom studio within his 15,000
sq. ft. award-winning service center
in Florida, Bobby has answered over
100K car questions, helping car and
truck owners across the nation make
best-of service and repair decisions.
Sam Memmolo and Sam Mahdavi
(Sam's Garage)
Automotive industry veteran Sam
Memmolo and his co-host Sam Mahdavi
do their very best to provide accurate
and concise technical information and
recommendations, as well as covering
trends that affect automotive consumers
in virtually all facets of their transportation
needs. Memmolo wrote/co-hosted popular
television shows "Shadetree Mechanic"
and "Crank & Chrome." Mahdavi also
owns/operates Mahdavi Motorsports and
co-hosts Sam's Garage on television.
Sam's Garage has been on air since 1995.

Russ Evans, Shannon Nordstrom
and Chris Carter (Under the Hood)
Shannon and Russ, along with Chris
Carter, are the Motor Medics®. Shannon
is the "parts guy" and also serves as
President of Nordstrom's Auto Recycling.
Russ is an ASE-Certified Master Technician
and resident "technical guru." Chris runs
"show point." They bring a fun side to
car-talk shows along with accurate wellrespected advice that stems from their
many years working in their own automotive
shop and auto recycling facility daily. Under
the Hood has been on air since 1990.
Roger Kwapich, Dan Pietras and
Steve Stewart (The C.A.R. Show)
Originating from the automotive
capital of the world in Detroit, Mich.,
The C.A.R. Show provides listeners a
better understanding of how their vehicle
operates and how to keep it running
better, for longer. Roger owns/operates
Smitty's Automotive in Toledo, Ohio, while
Dan holds over 30 ASE certifications and
was inducted into the Automotive Hall
of Fame. Steve runs "show point." The
C.A.R. Show has been on air since 1994.
Ron Ananian (The Car Doctor)
Crowned "the technician's technician"
by Motor Magazine, Ron has an innate
ability to simplify complex subject
matter for all to understand. Drawing
upon more than 30 years of repair
experience, Ron provides motorists
helpful tips on how to avoid repair fraud
and deception. Ron also owns/operates
R/A Automotive in Waldwick, N.J. The
Car Doctor has been on air since 1991.
