State of the Auto Care Industry Report 2017-2018 - 1
"We aren't stopping."
s the $740B global ($381B of that being the U.S.) automotive
aftermarket continues to diversify and grow, there's a
lot to celebrate: the average age of vehicles is higher,
prompting the need for maintenance; the segment of older vehicles
continues to grow; Americans are traveling more miles; and
industry employment has increased. There's no doubt that together,
we are a powerful driver to the U.S. and global economy.
But it is no surprise to anyone that our industry is changing, being
transformed by technology, automation and new business models.
While these advancements create opportunities, there are also
challenges that arise. As we continue to face these business and
political challenges, we are committed more than ever to standing
up for our rights, while informing consumers about theirs.
That's why I'm proud to present to you the latest edition of
State of Auto Care: a comprehensive guide to the industry's
key facts, most pressing issues and how your association
is addressing them from every possible angle.
Standing still isn't a part of who we are - thanks for moving
forward with us and helping drive our industry into the future.
