AHEPA Supports Navy
SEAL Organization
Supreme President Carl Hollister attended a charity
event held to benefit The National Navy SEAL Museum
and Memorial Trident House, August 26, 2017. Supreme
President Hollister met retired Master Chief SEAL Richard
(Rick) Kaiser, executive director of the museum, which
is located at Ft. Pierce, Fla. Kaiser served at SEAL Team
Two from 1980 until 1985 until he was selected for duty at
SEAL Team Six in 1985. In 1993, Kaiser received the Silver
Star for Valor during the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk
Down).
The supreme president also met fellow Greek American
John P. Calamos, Sr., who is Chairman and Global CIO of
Calamos Investments. Calamos is also a veteran. He served
as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. (L-R): Calamos Investments Chairman John P. Calamos, Sr., retired Master

AHEPA's Community
Service
At the District 20 Convention, Brother Tom Martinez, Chapter 219, Phoenix,
Ariz., received the AHEPA Medal for Military Service from Veteran, then-Supreme Secretary Carl Hollister. They are pictured with former District 20

The 2017 Freehold Parade Committee recognized
AHEPA for its service, awarding AHEPA a First Place
standing in the category of "Community Service
Organization" because of the Order's work through the
"AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors National Project."
Brother Bob Fourniadis accepted the award at a ceremony held at the Freehold Borough Council Meeting.
It was the first time AHEPA marched in the 143year history of the Freehold Memorial Day Parade.
Garden State Chapter 517, Holmdel, N.J., will continue
to participate to raise awareness of the deadly consequences of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and
the extraordinary life-saving efforts made possible
through service dogs.
