AHEPA National Housing Corp. Holds
Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the AHEPA
National Housing Corp. (ANHC) was
held at the headquarters in Fishers,
Ind., on April 23-26, 2014. Various
committees met early and the full
Directors' meetings were held April
25 and 26. The Executive Committee
met April 23 with five officers, seven
committee members and staff personnel present.
AHEPA Management Co. (AMC)
President and CEO Arthur Poly presented his review of the management
company's operations. He covered the
development group's work to acquire
properties, including Tallmadge, Ohio,
Mobile, Ala. and most recent Knoxville,
Tenn. The Service Coordination

Department has 24 non-AHEPA Quality
Assurance contracts and a full-time
coordinator for a private 202 property.
He noted that a for-profit Hellenic
Management Co. has been formed to
allow business with profit companies.
The PR/Marketing efforts are helping.
AMC also has a presence in D.C. AMC is
prepared for the Affordable Care Act's
implementation, and have added staff
personnel.
ANHC President Angelo Kostarides
discussed uniform bylaws for the
owner corporation and new recommended ones will be sent out soon. The
'Right of First Refusal' was discussed
for situations if a property would be
sold or the 40-year period passed
and when ANHC's option to purchase
it occurred. It was passed that this
would be part of the Sponsorship
Agreement for each property.
The status of cash advances by
AMC to the properties was reviewed
and the completion of repayments of
MCI was confirmed.
Brothers Damaskos, Mitchell and
Poly discussed acquisition possibilities
and the unaudited budget for AMC for
FY 2015 was passed.
The Executive Committee adjourned
and reconvened briefly on April 25.
After a discussion, it was moved and
passed that when refinancing with tax
credits, after the 15 year period, the
local Board would retain full ownership.

meeting was held April 25 with all officers and 28 directors and guests and
staff personnel present. The meeting
