AHEPA FAMILY CHAPTER NEWS
District 6
Constantine Cassis Chapter 170, Hempstead, N.Y.
The chapter presented two scholarship
awards at its annual Easter Glendi, which
was dedicated to the memory of Carol
Cassis, April 27, 2017. The scholarship
recipients were Eleni Demas and Demetra
Menoudakos. District 6 Governor Ted Stamas
and District 6 Lt. Gov. Demi Pamboukes presented the scholarship awards and thanked
the Cassis family for their sponsorship.
The District Lodge recognized Chapter
President C. Dionysios-Weiss, and the chapter, for a successful event. AHEPA National
Educational Foundation Chairman, and Parish Council President George Vorkas, attended. Special gratitude to Brother Anastasios
Stampolis, and his wife, Tatiana, for their donation and preparations for the event.
James Plevritis-Joseph C. Keane Chapter 405,
New Rochelle, N.Y.
In honor of the chapter's Irish Philhellene president, Brother
Joe Keane, the chapter hosted an Irish dinner, with plenty
of "green" to be seen, to mark St. Patrick's Day. More than
80 Ahepans attended, including guest speaker, Supreme
Governor, Chris Diamantoukos who represented Supreme
President Andrew C. Zachariades. Also attending were District
6 Governor Ted Stamas, members of the District 6 lodge, and
several chapter officers from the surrounding area.
George Chirgotis Chapter 455,
West Nyack, N.Y.
The chapter welcomed its newest Brothers: Yiannis
Andreopoulos, Richard Francabandera, Polyvios Georgiou,
Pavlos Hatzis, Naoum Hatzis, Dr. Gregory Hatzis, Roger
King, Larry Laskos, and John Livanos. Supreme Governor
Chris Diamantoukos was on-hand for the initiation ceremony held November 29, 2016.
