AHEPA Management Co. Conferences Held

AHEPA Management Company held its Maintenance Conference,
September 12-15, 2017, Embassy Suites, Indianapolis. Approximately 80
personnel from most of the AHEPA Housing properties attended. The conference covered topics including Inventory and Shop Organization, Cyber
Security, Landscaping, Fair Housing, Preventative Maintenance and more,
The most popular sessions seemed to be the tour of Lucas Oil Stadium
(where the Indianapolis Colts play) and the half-day session at Midwest
Remediation/Chuck DeWald Structural Drying Academy where the group
leaned new techniques for water remediation issues. Service awards were
presented to five, 10 and 20-year employees.
The AMC Property Manager Conference returned to French Lick
Resort, French Lick, Ind., September 25-29, 2017. A total of 108 property
managers, regional managers and other staff, attended. Conference sessions included Fraud: Accounting, Human Resources topics, Preventive
Maintenance and Real Life Scenarios. The highlight was full day of
inter-departmental Jeopardy-type competition that reinforced HUD compliance and AMC policy and procedure. Region One (North East) won this
year's competition and took home the regional trophy (named Adonis). The
theme of the banquet was Denim and Diamonds. Service awards were
presented to five, 10, 15 and 20-year employees.
