AHEPA FAMILY CHAPTER NEWS
AHEPA Chapter 37, Syracuse, N.Y.
The chapter held an offer installation and initiation at St. Sophia Greek
Orthodox Church, Oct. 21, 2017. District 6 Secretary Chris Pappis installed
the officers: President George Sakellariou, Vice President Michael Labatos,
Secretary Peter Panels, and Treasurer Andrew Miledonis. George Pappis,
Albany Chapter 140 president; and Nick Tzimas, Rochester Chapter 67
president; and Brothers Kiriazides and Elias Tonias assisted with the ceremony.
AHEPA Chapter 125, Schenectady, N.Y.
The chapter initiated 10 men into the Order, bringing the
chapter's membership to 40. Chapter 125, which was reactive one year ago, is excited with the new growth and is
planning to bring this positive energy to the community. The
chapter appreciates the support from District 6 Secretary
Chris Pappis and Chapter 140 President George Pappis, of
Albany, who assisted with the initiation.
AHEPA Chapter 158, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
The chapter supported a Lenten luncheon hosted by Kimisis Tis
Theotokou in honor of the visit of Archbishop Demetrios to the
church, Aug. 13, 2017. Pictured (seated l-r): Fr. Joseph Collins and

Constantine Cassis Chapter 170 of Hempstead, N.Y.
The chapter hosted a Byzantine Dinner featuring the talents of the Cathedral of St. Paul's Fr. Constantin
Ursache, known as "The Chef Father," who created and cooked a spectacular Romanian-themed menu. Father
Constantin also served as the keynote speaker. He discussed how Orthodoxy and the Byzantine era tied into
Romania.
Trojan Chapter 306, Troy, N.Y.
The chapter held an Installation Ceremony for its officers, Sept. 11, 2017. District 6 Secretary Chris Pappis
presided over the ceremony. The 2017-18 chapter
officers are: President Thomas Suraci, Vice President
Paul Semon, Secretary Eric Jasinski, Treasurer Michael
Krumpholz, and Sergeant at Arms Bill Seamon.
