In addition, the recipients of the Harry Agganis Award and
William Chirgotis Award were announced along with the eight

AHEPA Family Elections
The organizations that comprise the AHEPA Family also
held elections. Connie Pilallis, Boca Raton, Fla., was elected
Daughters of Penelope Grand President; Andreas Christou,
Albany, N.Y., was elected Sons of Pericles Supreme President;
and Deanna Socaris, Albany, N.Y., was elected to a second term
as Maids of Athena Grand President.

AHEPA Athletics Inducts Four to Hall of Fame
Four standouts in athletic competition or the sports industry
were inducted into the AHEPA Hellenic Athletic Hall of Fame.
The Class of 2015 included: Theodore ("Ted") Leonsis, founder,
chairman, majority owner and CEO of Monumental Sports

And what visit to San Francisco would be complete without
a cruise on San Francisco Bay? Delegates were hosted aboard
the San Francisco Belle for a glorious buffet dinner and cruise
of the bay, July 1. The evening cruise sailed by Alcatraz Island
and the Golden Gate Bridge. Music filled the night air as did
dancing. A great karaoke contest finished the night with the
entire ship rocking the bay.

Theofanis Economidis Honored at Grand Banquet
AHEPA hosted its 93rd Grand Banquet, the pinnacle event of
the annual Supreme Convention on July 4. The Grand Banquet
serves to honor excellence in the community as well as from
within the AHEPA family of organizations.
This year's principal honoree was Theofanis Economidis,
Los Altos, Calif., who received the 2015 AHEPA Aristotle Award.
Entrepreneur/Philanthropist George Marcus and Supreme
President Frangos presented Mr. Economidis with the award.
