Stellar Line-up for Bluebird Concert Series Benefits Alive Hospice
Throughout January, more than
90 artists and singer-songwriters
performed in 23 shows at
Nashville's preeminent listening
room, Bluebird Café, to benefit Alive
Hospice (Nashville, TN). The lineup included such names as Vince
Gill, Amy Grant, Sheryl Crow, Kim
Carnes, and John Oates.
The annual concert series has
raised more than $500,000 for
Alive Hospice in the past 21 years,
including money from sponsors
and fans.

Samira Beckwith Named First
'Person of the Year' by Lee Pitts Live
Samira K. Beckwith, president/CEO of Hope
HealthCare Services (Fort Meyers, FL), was named
the first Person of the Year by Lee Pitts Live, the
award-winning and longest-running TV talk show in
Southwest Florida.
"Samira was an easy and clear choice...because of her
many accomplishments in leading Hope HealthCare
Services, as well as her national leadership in the hospice
field," said host and executive producer, Lee Pitts.
Beckwith is a member of the NHPCO and NHF boards of directors, but also serves on numerous others. She is
also vice chair of the National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship, and was a state delegate to the White House
Conference on Aging and the governor's appointee to the Long-Term Care Policy Advisory Council for Florida.
