We continue to monitor all bills
introduced in the Illinois General Assembly
and the City of Chicago to support those
that positively affect our members;
oppose those that will impact the industry
adversely and impede our members' ability
to do business; and support legislators and
candidates through our PAC who are probusiness and are advocates of legislation
beneficial to the construction industry. As
the 2016 legislation session heats up, the
Association will send important alerts to its
members about proposed bills, what they
would mean to your company, and how to
voice your opinions.

of W.B. Olson, Inc. visited Congressman
Bob Dold in late summer to discuss how
his involvement on the Ways and Means
Committee can significantly impact our
still-recovering economy. The Association
also hosted a fundraising luncheon for
Mayor Rahm Emanuel in June which
allowed representatives from many area
associations to discuss city initiatives with
the Mayor and other critical issues.
We encourage commercial construction
firms to contribute to the Builders
Association PAC fund so we may continue
to support those candidates who will vote
on legislation with our members' needs
in mind. Through support of legislators,
the Association has helped to kill several
