Beauty Changes Lives Introduces
THE PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY INDUSTRY'S SUPPORT
of NextGen professionals continues to grow as evidenced by brands' generous funding of new scholarships. Beauty Changes Lives is honored to introduce
three new scholarships-two for students and one
for licensed professionals, including nail educators!
"The addition of the Cosmoprof |Licensed to Create
scholarship means that cosmetology students can
apply for a scholarship throughout the year-a scholarship application window is always open," said

New Scholarships in 2017
Cosmoprof|Licensed to Create: Available to
prospective and enrolled students, the Cosmoprof
Spring Competition is accepting applications
through May 18, 2017. The Fall Competition will
accept applications between August 28 and October
30 of 2017. Applicants must submit a video to be
considered for one of nine $5,000 tuition scholarships awarded annually.
Amazing Lash Esthetics: Launching in June 2017,
this scholarship is for students currently enrolled in
an esthetics program and awards five $2,250 tuition
scholarships. Students may apply via essay, inspiration board or video.
CND Master: This scholarship is for licensed
professionals only-including educators! Through
generous funding from CND, this program will
award 30 scholarships in 2017, 40 scholarships in
2018 and another 40 scholarships in 2019! The scholarships allow licensed nail professionals to take
their skill to a new level by enrolling in a CND Master
Painter, Master Sculptor or Master Architect course.
Through the generosity of partner brands, Beauty
Changes Lives is honored to continue offering the
Vidal Sassoon Professional Beauty Education
Scholarship-Basic and Advanced: The scholarship that started it all-the "Basic" scholarship
awards 50 percent tuition at an AACS member
school. The Fall 2017 Basic competition will accept
applications from June 19 through August 21. The
Fall 2017 Advanced Vidal Sassoon Professional Beauty
Education Scholarship awards licensed hairstylists
(including educators) with a five-day course at a
Sassoon Professional Academy in North America. The
Advanced award covers tuition and course fees up to
$4,850, and the Fall application season is from June 26
through August 28, 2017. The Basic and Advanced
Scholarships are funded by the P&G endowment.
Murad Esthetics Scholarship: Now in its third
year, the Murad Esthetics Scholarship awards 10
esthetics scholarships that include $2,250 in tuition
plus a Murad product kit and the opportunity to learn
from a Murad mentor. The 2017 competition recently
closed. Look for information on winners soon!
MUD Make-Up Designory: This scholarship is
for prospective students as well as individuals currently enrolled in a cosmetology or esthetics program.
Winners receive $2,500 toward a makeup course and
may apply via inspiration board, essay or video. The
fall competition is accepting applications from July 24
through September 11, 2017.
BCL|CND Tippi Hedren Scholarship: Offered to
students less than halfway through a nail program, this
program awards 10 scholarships to aspiring nail professionals. The application window for the Fall 2017
competition opens August 7, and runs through October 2.
Leo Passage Scholarship: Offered to senior
students more than halfway through their educational journey, each year's competition celebrates a
unique aspect of the beauty industry and provides
winners with an experiential learning opportunity.
Application dates for the 2017 Competition are
August 21 to October 16.
When it comes to education, scholarships are worth
cheering about. Holly Moretti, a cosmetology student at Penrose Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona,
is one of four Leo Passage scholarship recipients
who participated in the Beauty Changes Lives
Congratulations to the first "encore" Beauty
Changes Lives scholarship recipient. Latasha Coy
is a cosmetology student at Bellus Academy in
Manhattan, Kansas. In 2016, the military wife and
mother of four was awarded a MUD Make-Up
Designory Scholarship and she also received a Leo
Passage scholarship in 2016.
