MESSAGE FROM THE
AND CEA CHAIR
Changing the Guard
OUR CEA/AMP IS just around the corner! I'm very excited about the robust classes and opportunities for our educators and
admission/marketing professionals to experience the passion and synergies to meet the changing demands of our schools.
In the last issue, I reported that your Board was diligently vetting the many qualified applicants for the AACS Director position. I am pleased to share that a selection and offer was made and accepted. But before I make formal introductions, I want
to acknowledge Jim Cox for his exemplary leadership during his 17-year tenure. He has navigated our association through
turbulent waters, growing our membership through value-added initiatives, education and partnerships. He charted a course
for AACS success. It is all of our shared experiences, meetings, calls, laughter and yes, tears that are appreciated and will be
missed. He will officially transition his position July 1, though we are happy to report that Jim will join us at CEA/AMP and
the Annual Convention so that everyone will be able to share stories, appreciation and well wishes for his next adventure.
It is also with pleasure that I introduce and welcome Adam Nelson as our new AACS Executive Director. I asked
Adam to provide a message to our members.
