Workforce Strategies Attracting and Engaging Tomorrow's Workforce The Top Five Successful Onboarding and Engagement Strategy Trends BY KEN WILLIAMS F inding and attracting the right employee for any organization can be a challenging task. For organizations looking to attract case/care management talent, the undertaking can be even more mystifying. Why is it so hard to find great talent? A workforce shortage is at the forefront of the issue, driven by health care reform, new models of care, increasing needs within complex populations, emergence of telehealth/virtual health/population health, an aging workforce, and growth in Medicaid managed care and the baby boomer population. To say the least, we have a few things working against us that create complex challenges in finding and attracting the right talent. The challenge is very real and here to stay, at least for the next 10 to 15 years. Now that we have identified the root of the problem, let's move on to discuss some strategies to overcome this perplexing undertaking.
