Greetings from B.C.
Hope this message finds you all well wherever you call home, from coast
Being the 53rd President of CSNM is something I thought I would never
be - but here I am!
As you all will have heard, B.C. has been experienced flooding and wildfires,
one following the other, over the past few weeks and months. Our thoughts
are with all those affected.
Your board has also been experiencing flooding and wildfires, but happily
only in a metaphorical sense.
The flooding is represented by our new Strategic Plan, new Board Members,
new ideas, opinions and challenges, new personalities and new visions, goals
After the flooding, your Board of Directors is faced with a wildfire of alignment, changes and implementation of all that the flooding has brought. The
upcoming years will be extremely busy and rewarding. These are exciting times
for your Society!
The main focus for the next year will be to create base on which we can start
building for the future. Our main goal is to increase the value of our Society
to our members and to all of our partners and stakeholders.
We are currently in Phase One of having our IT (Information Technology)
platform modularized in order to better control, manage and maintain the integrity of our data. Stay tuned for some exciting news coming to your inbox soon.
I truly hope that you all the opportunity to visit the website to familiarize
yourself with our current Strategic Plan and the corresponding goals for each
individual portfolio. The Strategic Plan will be the framework for the next several
years and will provide guidance and focus for your Board and its committees.
As you know, all of your Board Members are volunteers and anything CSNMrelated is in addition to all of our regular obligations. I would like to express
my sincere appreciation and gratitude for all that your Board and committee
volunteers are doing day in and day out to make CSNM a better Society for
all of us.
Keep well, stay safe and be your best.
