annabis is one of the oldest and most widely
cultivated plants in the world. Originating in
Central and Southern Asia, archaeologists have
found evidence of its use in ancient civilizations for
a multitude of purposes.
Hemp refers to non-psychoactive varieties of cannabis cultivated specifically for industrial purposes or
food products. Its stalks provide the fibre for textiles,
construction material, clothing, rope and paper. Its
grain, meanwhile, is used in everything from plastics
and biofuel to beauty products, including soap, shampoo, lotion and lip balm. What's more, foods derived
from hemp have high nutritional value and are a rich
source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, and the
