on the Horizon
s FPMA's 67th President, I can say with confidence
that you as a member belong to a great organization.
Over the past months FPMA has made huge strides to
ensure the continued success of our association. The Executive
Committee, Board of Directors and Committee members have
all worked countless volunteer hours to see that FPMA continues
to deliver on its member services. These efforts are proven by our forward
momentum in our membership retention and growth. We have new services
and programs on the horizon along with online CEUs to help solidify FPMA's
commitment to serving its members. On March 31 and April 1, FPMA held its
Legislative Tour in Tallahassee. The halls of the Capitol were traveled by PMPs,
manufacturer representatives and distributors to help share our voice about
the importance of our industry and how the Pest Management Profession plays
a vital role in the well being of Floridians, our environment and to the many
visitors that our state receives.
As summer approaches, it is time to make your reservations for 2014 FPMA
in Paradise, June 16-20 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa in Ponte
Vedra Beach. I Invite you to join me and take part in an exciting week of team
building, education and leadership sessions, networking and of course, GOLF!
This annual event will be a way for you to relax and spend time with your
family while learning about new ways to grow your business. This event will
showcase the products and services from our industry's leading manufacturers
and distributors. In the Exhibit Hall, you will see them introducing the best
products available to Pest Management Professionals.
Join me in congratulating the first graduating class of Leadership FPMA,
Class 1: Vanessa Ferguson, Jonathon Simkins, Danny Nix, Mike D'Amico and
David Biddle, under the leadership of Directors Marcie Downing and Sean
Brantley. We will have the opportunity to witness this group of professionals
graduate during Summer Conference. Reach out to a fellow PMPs and invite
them to this event or a local region meeting to introduce them to FPMA so that
they can see firsthand that FPMA is Member Driven and Industry Focused!
I wish you all well and look forward to seeing you in Ponte Vedra Beach.
