Moonshots
What's your moonshot? Why does
your company exist? Why should
people be excited? Articulate your
'why', the unique reason that
you're in business, and galvanize
people around this 'why'. A company of super passionate people
is truly a powerful thing.
Keep Your Customers
Super Close
To build a breeding ground for
innovation, fanatically focus on
client success. Your frontline is
where the magic happens so keep
it going: what's working, what isn't
and what unmet needs are bubbling up...The smaller the distance between the clients and the
c-suite, the greater the innovation.

Employee Feedback:
Everybody, Everywhere
For innovation to thrive, give
everyone a voice. An annual
employee engagement survey is
no longer enough: you need constant collaboration. Employees
want to talk about what's working, what's not and what's next.
Align the questions with your
moonshot. Once you have people's
ideas: act.
Diversity
We have a tendency to seek consensus, but a consensus is not
where innovation lives. Diverse
groups mean diverse ideas. For
innovation, you need to diverge
and consider many ideas before
you converge and bring the best
ideas to life. To get those ideas,
you need diverse teams.
Grow a Growth Mindset
Carol Dwek coined "growth
mindset" to mean an attitude
where people see challenges
as fun. Everyone thinks that

employees' ideas. Speed to fail -
