IIE RESEARCH RESOURCES BRAZIL SCIENTIFIC MOBILITY UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM IN THE U.S. │ "Fast Facts" 2013-2014 About the Program The Brazil Scien fic Mobility Undergraduate Program in the U.S., launched in 2011, is administered by IIE, and sponsored by the Government of Brazil. 3,946 students have been placed as of 4/30 448 U.S. ins tu ons have applied to par cipate 298 U.S. ins tu ons have hosted students 71% of the students major in Engineering & Computer Science 35% are female, and 65% are male The program is part of the Brazilian government's larger effort to grant 100,000 scholarships for the best students from Brazil to study abroad at the world's best universi es. IIE is currently working with more than 175 companies and 150 research university departments to host BSMP grantees this summer.
