Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT). ISTAT was founded in 1983
to act as a forum and to promote improved communications

Dear Fellow ISTAT members,
When I returned to Colorado from ISTAT Europe, I found snow is the forecast,
so that's an appropriate lead-in to the Winter issue of Jetrader!
I hope you had a chance to experience ISTAT Europe. Dick Forsberg and the
entire conference committee worked their magic in not only crafting relevant
conference topics and first-rate panels, but also creating terrific venues for our
evening events. On behalf of all of you, thanks to the entire committee for all
their efforts. Thanks also to all of our conference sponsors, led by our Platinum
Sponsors, GA Telesis and Eirtech.
By the time this issue reaches you, we will have held a cocktail reception at the
Dubai Airshow and put on our first Latin America Forum in Panama City, Panama.
I hope you had a chance to attend at least one of these great networking events.
In December, we held our traditional first Wednesday series of Holiday
Receptions around the world. This year we held receptions in six cities: Tokyo,
Singapore, London, Dublin, New York, and new this year, Miami. I'm delighted
that these receptions showcase the true international flavor of our society and
our industry.
I hope you will enjoy this issue of Jetrader. You'll find a number of great
articles, including several on activities supported by the ISTAT Foundation. Led
by Damon D'Agostino of CIT, the ISTAT Foundation board does an incredible job
of identifying individual, organizational and program recipients of its available
resources, consistent with the kinds of educational and charitable programs the
ISTAT membership has expressed its preference for.
As the year draws to a close, I hope it's been a successful year for all, but please
take time at year end to relax and recharge with those loved ones whom often
have to deal with our time away during the year. On behalf of all my fellow ISTAT
board members and ISTAT Foundation trustees, we wish you and your families a
happy and healthy holiday season and new year. Here's to an even better 2016!
