Hold the annual members' professional development day:
"Fundamentals of Investigation" (November 23, 2016).
Include professional development components to regional meetings.
Hold Maintenance/Transportation Conference February 8-10, 2017.
Hold the AGM Conference - May 31-June 2, 2017 - Vic Inn Brandon
Monitor, prepare for and respond to emergent issues as they arise
in support of the various interests of our membership.
Consider MASBO responses on various issues and in a variety of formats: correspondence from the
Executive; meetings with various organizations; AGM resolutions.
Begin development of Resolutions at the Fall Regional Meetings.
Conduct a review of MASBO's mission statement and governance structure with the
aim of bringing forward any changes to the membership on June 1,2017 in Brandon.
October 3, 2016 - Create a committee to draft revisions to the mission statement to bring forward for input at
the regional meetings.
Prepare a draft proposal for the creation of a Provincial WSH Director position on the
Provincial MASBO Executive (Name a 3 person committee to prepare a recommendation
that would be forwarded to the Past President's Council for discussion).
Provide ongoing and two-way communication opportunities (inform and consult with
our members and our education partners.
Provide MASBO regular communications: MASBO News, Mini-Minutes, MASBO Minute Electronic
Hold liaison meetings with our education partners (MASS, MSBA, PSFB, MAPC)
Continue participation in the Canadian Association of School Business Officials Leadership Group
Populate, utilize and manage the new MASBO web site.
Post Committee Minutes
Post Committee Terms of Reference and Position Profiles
Review membership recruitment and engagement practices
(rationales for participation; use of social media, etc.).
