if possible! Plan ahead and book a dinner
reservation at Parker & Quinn on the
ground level which is a 1920s-themed
restaurant, which is equally as cool as
Pier 13 in Hoboken.
The Frying Pan at Pier 66a
ummer is finally here!
We decided to put
together a list of some
of our favorite rooftops
and outdoor spaces to
enjoy the warm weather.
While this list is only scratching the
surface of the amazing places to sip a
cocktail in NYC, these are some of our
Bookmarks Rooftop Lounge
at the Library Hotel
299 Madison Ave. at
41st Street, 14th Floor
Bookmarks is a midtown hidden
gem inside the Library Hotel. Located
across the street from the Bryant Park
Library, this rooftop lounge has a very
special garden atmosphere.
@MPIGNY SUMMER 2014
The Press Lounge at Ink48
653 11th Ave. between
47th and 48th streets
This is a lesser known rooftop to the
west of Times Square and has some of
the best views of the city and the Hudson
River. They have comfortable lounge
seating and an interesting drink menu.
Since it is a few blocks west from the
hustle and bustle of Times Square, the
atmosphere feels like a real oasis in NYC.
The Refinery Rooftop
at the Refinery Hotel
63 W. 38th St.
This cool and trendy rooftop spot near
Bryant Park is perfect for an after-work
happy hour with friends or drinks with a
client. It can get crowded to arrive early
530 W. 26th St.
The Frying Pan is nothing new for
us locals, but we can't forget about this
great place to spend an afternoon or
sunset aboard this very special docked
vessel. They aren't known for their food,
but they have a wide selection of beer and
delicious sangria pitchers that are perfect
for a group.
Pier 13 Hoboken
The Shipyard next to the Pier 14 NY
If you are brave enough to leave NYC,
Pier 13 is situated on the Hudson River in
Hoboken. An easy ferry ride from the city,
you can sip on specialty beers and wine
while you play lawn games and watch the
sailboats pass by. Various food trucks set
up for the day such as Luke's Lobster, The
Taco Truck and Hibachi Heaven.
at the McKittrick Hotel
542 West 27 th St.
You'll be transported out of NYC to
a country home in the midst of summer.
Period actors and delicious cocktails
make for a wonderful evening. @
