MPI Perspective - Summer 2014 - (Page 4)

[ EDITOR'S NOTE ] Welcome to San Francisco! T BY SABRINA RITCHIE, CMP, CAE This is one issue of Perspective you'll want to keep handy! With MPI's World Education Congress (WEC) coming to town August 1-4, we've dedicated this issue to all things favorite in San Francisco and Northern California to help our visitors get the inside scoop from "the locals." But even as a Bay Area native, I am still discovering new and amazing places to experience. Some of our out-of-town visitors from across the globe may want to venture down south, and for those readers, our destination spotlight is on Los Angeles. This issue is full of fun and interesting places to go, maybe some you have long forgotten about and are worth another visit. This issue also kicks off the chapter's 2015-2016 program year with our new Board of Directors and President Joey Nevin, Director, Sales & Marketing, Giants Enterprises. In his President's Message, Joey unveils the theme and shares his vision for the year. Also check out the Gala recap, where we celebrate the past year and look forward to the next. With so much sightseeing and WEC events to experience, we also reveal the latest in social media and apps to make your posts pop! Check out WEC presenter Beth Ziesenis' strategies to create cool content on social media. Please contact me at if you are interested in contributing an article or being featured in a future issue. I look forward to seeing you at the WEC in August! ● 5 Things Not to Miss at MPI's World Education Congress TAKE 5 WEC is MPI's annual signature event for top-rated education, networking and business opportunities for the meeting and event community.
