MPI Perspective - Summer 2014 - (Page 6)

Our e t i r o Fav gs n i h T The new MPINCC board, as well as some of our planner and supplier members, recently shared their favorite things about Northern California, the Bay Area and WEC for those traveling to San Francisco for MPI's World Education Congress on August 1-4. Don't miss some of our local favorites when you're in town! My favorite part about Northern California is how active the culture is. There is always a new adventure to experience and willing people to share it with. From spending the day relaxing in wine country to biking the Golden Gate Bridge, there is never a dull moment! - SARA BODZY, CMP, Forty Niners Stadium Management Company My favorite thing about Northern California has to be the sports. We're fortunate enough to have a top-tier team in every major sports league. The way the Bay Area comes together to rally behind its teams is unbelievable.  For the Giants in particular, it's been magical runs in 2010, 2012 and 2014. The support the team receives is outstanding, and the appreciation the team has for its fans is equally extraordinary. - RYAN CARROLL, San Francisco Giants My favorite spot in San Francisco is the Legion of Honor and nearby Land's End Trail. The Beaux Arts-style museum is home to an impressive permanent collection spanning 4,000 years and world-class traveling exhibitions. The views of the Golden Gate, Marin Headlands and Pacific Ocean from the trail are unsurpassed. 6 | P E R S P E C T I V E | - LISA BURKETT, CMP, CMM, The Leadership Institute
