TOOLS TO HELP YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS IN 2016 Andrew Gordon Freeman Audio Visual Canada W elcome to 2016, this is your year to shine, outperform last year, gain more customers, make new contacts, market yourself like never before, keep track of your expenses, do your books on time, pick up the kids from soccer practice ... oh, don't forget your mom's birthday present. Also, you have a customer appointment in 30 minutes across town that you forgot to put in the calendar and only now just remembered. Yeah, that just happened! You are planning the year with all good intentions and confidence, while life has planned something else for you entirely! Despite what the Rolling Stones might have you believe - "Time is NOT On Your Side," but that doesn't mean you can't be close acquaintances with a little help. Why not try something new and engaging while showing off the big picture? Prezi ( is an alternative to create engaging presentations and help customers stay awake a little longer. The way Prezi differs from a traditional presentation is that instead of flipping from slide to slide, you can pan and zoom along a large presentation timeline. This style allows you zoom in and out of targeted areas on pictures, videos and text, creating a "big picture" feel to each point you make. While Prezi does offer free accounts, there is a lot of functionality in their paid services as well. MONEY! First thing is first, let's talk about what makes the world go around: money. Let's face it; if you liked accounting you would have become an accountant, which is why programs like Wave Accounting ( makes life a little more tolerable. Wave sports several features that will help you run the financial side of your business. Features like importing your banking transactions so you can quickly categorize them, CUSTOMER AND TASK MANAGEMENT You are not a Fortune 500 company, but that does not mean that you can't have some of their toys!
