Meeting MPI Toronto - May/June 2015 - (Page 5)
Hit All the Senses
LEE-ANNE LECKIE, CMP
The International Centre
The MPI Toronto Chapter's vision is to "make our members successful by building human
connections through knowledge/ideas, relationships and business opportunities." Have we
contributed to your success? Is there something that you feel is missing? Please reach out to any
member on our Leadership Team and let us know if there is something you would like to see.
We started out this year celebrating our successes! We shouted from the rooftops how great the
MPI Toronto's community is. We have had some great successes this year, and they can all fall
under the theme of this publication: "5 Senses."
Sight: The newly formatted Annual General Meeting and the Volunteer Recognition event. Did
you see the number of volunteers on the stage? Amazing! A big thank you to all of our volunteers.
Hearing: We are listening to what our members want by asking the question - "MPI is the
answer, what is your question?"
Taste: What an experience at the February Signature Series event, with an actual "food fight"
and tasting three incredible dishes and actually voting on the winner.
Smell: The amazing smell of a brand new hotel and our sold-out Holiday Gala back in December.
Touch: Due to our member's generosity, we have touched many lives in giving back to our

This year has gone by so fast, and this is my last President's Message. It has truly been an honour
to serve as your President this year, and to work with such a dedicated Leadership Team was
amazing. At our last Leadership Summit, the group was working on our future Strategic Plan. I
paused to look around the room and everyone was so completely engaged and working together as
a team to bring to you, the member, the benefit of your membership with MPI.
All of this could not have been done without the passion of our Leadership Team and our
committee volunteers - thank you for your commitment - you have made this year a great success!
To our family at Fletcher Wright - Leslie, Nikki, Jason, Stuart and Maggie - each year there is more
and more to do; however, somehow, it always gets done and with a big smile on all of your faces.
To you the member - thank you for being a part of our community - for reaching out and for
letting us know what is working and where we can improve!
