A dozen local art & artisans show pieces in an
annual Burin Peninsula Arts Council exhibit
within the eclectic setting of song & drama
rehearsals. "A Fine Time" theme unfolds in
acrylic, oil, watercolor, pen & ink, wood &
fiber works. Some see a literal approach and
others translate. Visitors can contact artists
and are very welcome to stay & enjoy superb
live theatre, live music culinary experience of
a night dinner theatre.

The North Atlantic Aviation Museum traces
the development of transatlantic flight from
Gander's WWII role as a secret Allied airbase
through Gander's heyday as Crossroads of
the World to its continuing role as a vital stop
on the Great Circle Route to Europe. Home
to World Trade Center steel in recognition of
Gander's role in 9-11, the Museum is open
year-round and is coach- and caravan-friendly.

Dr. Henry N. Payne Community Museum &
Craft Shop Located in Cow Head, on the
northern tip of Gros Morne National Park
Open mid-June - mid-October. The museum
exhibits an intriguing collection of artifacts
including an axe used in the double axe
murder of 1809, 700-year-old walrus skull and
stone tools used by aboriginal hunters over
4000 years ago. Offers outdoor guided tours
of Cow Head Summerside & hosts the Gros
Morne Fall Fest.
