2014 FIFA WORLD CUP
THE WORLD CUP IS the biggest soccer tournament in the world. It
is held every four years in a different country. The 2014 World Cup
will be held in Brazil June 12-July 13, 2014.
India withdrew from the World
Cup in 1950 because they weren't
allowed to play barefoot.
The ﬁ rst-ever soccer World Cup was
held in the year 1930, which was
won by the host country, Uruguay.
The number of spectators was 300.
The soccer ball is measured to be
around 28 inches in its circumference, and more than 80 percent of
the world's soccer balls are produced
Soccer became an Olympic sport in
the year 1908.
