the owner of Percy Guidry, LLC, an elegant
wrought iron gazebo with no other intention
than to enter it into a Top Job awards competition, which was held at a NOMMA Convention
& Trade Show in New Orleans, Louisiana.
It was entered into the art/sculpture category. It did not win; however, Ray Guidry
claimed it to be the pinnacle of his backyard paradise. Finally, 25 years later, the
designer, Allen Guidry, uses the Full Morning
Glory Gazebo for its true intention: to marry
Most individuals design something like a
white gazebo for its original intention: a place
of marriage! But, Allen, only Allen, would
spend $10,000 of his father's money just to
attempt to win a Gold Award for his father's
company. Well, he did not win an award with
this category; however, he did bring his father
back an award. He brought home a NOMMA
Top Job Gold Award in another category:
Metal Fabrication / Interior!
