Four Reasons You Need to be There
by ARTEMIS BERRY
Artemis Berry is vice president of member engagement for NRF.
os Angeles is one of the hottest fashion, entertainment and
tech capitals in the world. This month it's also home for the
first time to NRF's annual Shop.org conference, bringing together
thousands of ecommerce, retail and technology insiders.
This year the show has been transformed - from location to
educational formats to expo floor layout and concept. But there
are four key reasons to make sure you are a part of the Shop.org
experience this year.
MORE STARTUP AND DIGITAL-FIRST EXECUTIVES
ON STAGE THAN EVER BEFORE
Speakers will take the stage to represent Allbirds, Dolls Kill,
Dormify, GOOP, Purple, Sam's Club, Soko Glam, Target, TOMS,
Wayfair and West Elm. The show will have a Fast Company stage
takeover, an explosive list of Los Angeles brands and flavor and a
super-star keynote lineup.
THE SHOP.ORG STARTUP COMPETITION
FINALIST TECH TALKS AND AWARD PRESENTATION
For the fourth year in a row, Shop.org will present the annual
Shop.org Digital Commerce Startup of the Year competition. The
contest is aimed at highlighting
the most innovative and disruptive
retail and tech startups. Three
finalists will be presenting on new
Tech Talk stages; a winner will be
awarded from the keynote stage
on September 27.
The innovative fashion company will host us to showcase their
100,000-square-foot campus and help us put on a program
that inspires and brings together retail's top digital rock stars
for an afternoon to kick off Shop.org 2017.
The Executive Afternoon, and nearly a dozen other new
programs at the show, have been developed this year with
best-in-class networking and community in mind.
SHOP.ORG'S FIRST STARTUP ZONE
On the show floor, there will be a dedicated area featuring
dozens of startup tech companies. The Startup Zone will include
best-in-class turnkey booths, a Tech Talk stage dedicated to
presentations from startup companies and the opportunity to
meet with these rising stars at their booths or as a part of our NRF
Engage 1:1 prescheduled and curated networking program.
This year's conference will be the 10th Shop.org annual event
I have attended, and I believe this reimagined program and
experience will be our best to date. I hope we will see you there
taking advantage of the new networking events, educational
content and new partnerships. And most of all, I hope you come
to experience the powerful community behind it all.
AFTERNOON GOES ON AN
L.A. FIELD TRIP
Exclusively for a group of 100
retail marketing, ecommerce,
mobile and technology
executives, the Executive
Afternoon program is an
interactive mix of presentations,
discussions and networking.
The event has been a hit for
top retail executives attending
Shop.org for more than a decade,
but this year we are taking our
Executive Afternoon program
to the headquarters of JustFab
parent TechStyle Fashion Group in
El Segundo, Calif.
