Second iT's Tissue Attracts
1,000-Plus Visitors to Italy
Third edition of international event, set for 2018 in
Lucca, Italy, will again feature a full week of technology
tours and exhibitions by host network of 12 companies
The second edition of iT's Tissue,
held in Lucca, Italy, this June 21-28, attracted
42 percent more participants than the innaugural event held in Lucca in 2013. The 2015
edition of the event had more than 1,000 visitors from arond the world.
The Tissue Italy network of 12 companies behind iT's Tissue report that, due to
the enthusiastic international response, the
third edition of iT's Tissue will take place in
2018, also to be headquartered in Lucca. The
12 host companies that make up the "Tissue
Italy Network" are A.Celli, Elettric 80, Fabio
Perini, Futura, Gambini, MTC, Omet, PCMC,
Pulsar, Recard, TMC, and Toscotec.
iT's Tissue is a week-long event featuring a
daily series of open houses and other events.
Participants were taken to Tissue Italy Network
manufacturing and R&D facilities where they
could see, hear, and touch technology, and
work with real products. Organizers of the
event point out that tissue technology is one
of many industries limited by the traditional
exhibition format because of the sheer size
of the equipment involved. The open houses
allow participants to "come to the technology"
and see up-close and first-hand this type of
technology in full operation.
Network President Matteo Gentili noted that
"iT's Tissue has proved again to be a great success. It is a wonderful celebration and exploration
of tissue technology and a strong signal of the
health of the Italian sector. To see so many people
from five continents make the journey to Lucca
to witness our solutions in action is a source of
great pride and an affirmation of the event itself.
They have seen the best the market can offer."
Lucca, better known as the "Tissue Valley,"
served as the heart of this year's activities, with
simultaneous events in Reggio Emilia and Lecco,
Italy. The event offers professionals from all over
the world - from the tissue sector and others -
the opportunity to discover the best "made in

Typically, there were two tours conducted
daily, with single-day tours to some of the

A gala night on Wednesday, June 24,
included a networking dinner under the stars
on the famous walls of Lucca, followed by a
very special iT's Tissue edition of Le Cirque

The Caffè delle Mura, a historic venue in the
