RCC's advocacy goal: Address
pending changes concerning employment standards.
RCC's work: RCC (with strong
member support) participated in
the CWR consultation and submitted a paper addressing most
of the proposals made by labour
and employee-advocacy groups.
RCC is working with other business groups to align messages and
recommendations.
Result: RCC is working diligently
to ensure that issues most relevant
to running a retail business are addressed, like Joint or Common Employer, scheduling and overtime.
