Kartell

First Canadian store opening:
May in Montreal.
The Italian home furnishings brand,
known for its versatile colourful plastic
designs, opened a Wellington Street
location in an area known for its extensive home furnishings offerings.
Ladurée

First Canadian store opening:
March in Vancouver
The popular French luxury bakery
and sweets maker opened a 1,200
square-foot Robson Street location,
which also features a 16-seat tea salon.
A second Vancouver location opened
this spring inside of Holt Renfrew, with
a Canadian expansion expected to follow, under the direction of a Vancouverbased franchisee.

First Canadian store opening: June in
Toronto's CF Eaton Centre.
The UK-based luxury jewellery
brand's stores feature luxurious interiors and bright lighting, showcasing
the beautiful product within. A second
Toronto location is soon to follow at
CF Sherway Gardens.

Rolex

First Canadian store opening: October in Vancouver.
The pricey Swiss watch brand opened a franchised
boutique, spanning 2,750 square-feet at the base of the
Shangri-La Hotel facing the Alberni Street in the city's
'Luxury Zone'. The company recently opened its second
freestanding boutique at Square One in Mississauga,
under the direction of a separate franchisee. Both locations feature the luxury brand's assortment of timepieces,
in equally luxurious environments of wood and stone.

Saint Laurent

First Canadian store opening: July 2016 in Vancouver.
The Richemont-owned, Paris-based luxury fashion
brand opened on Thurlow Street, followed closely
by a Toronto opening in November at Yorkdale
Shopping Centre. Both locations carry women's and
men's fashions as well as accessories, leather goods
and footwear. Both stores feature Saint Laurent's
trademark white marble floors, stainless steel accents, and dramatic facades.

Penguin Random House

First Canadian store opening:
August in Toronto.
A very unique, 158 square-foot boutique opened on Front Street, offering
products that range from books to
branded gifts, perfect for the company's
'super fans'. Designed by Toronto-based
figure3, the bright and friendly Penguin
Random House store has the functionality of a considerably larger space, and is
a wonderful spot to pick up some reading
material while in the downtown core.
PINKO

First Canadian store opening:
November in Montreal.
The edgy, contemporary Italian
women's fashion brand opened a 2,200
square-foot boutique located in fashionable Les Cours Mont-Royal in the city's
downtown core. Prices are reasonable,
and fashion-forward Montreal women
are said to be loving the new store.

Saks Fifth Avenue

First Canadian store opening: February in Toronto's
CF Eaton Centre.
The New York City-based department store, now under
the ownership umbrella of the Hudson's Bay Company,
opened a 169,000 square-foot store contained within
the flagship Hudson's Bay building. A second Saks Fifth
Avenue opened in February at Toronto's CF Sherway
Gardens. The beautiful store spans about 143,200 squarefeet, sharing the mall's former Sears space with Sport
Chek. Both stores feature a wide range of luxury brands,
in equally luxurious surroundings. Parent company Hudson's Bay Company has said that it plans to eventually
open between seven and eight Saks stores in Canada.
Saks OFF 5TH

First Canadian store opening: March in Southern Ontario.
The Hudson's Bay Company's U.S.-based off-price division
opened its first four Canadian stores in southern Ontario,
followed by five more in Edmonton, Calgary and Tsawwassen, BC. 25 more locations are expected to be operational in
Canada by the end of 2018.
