in the grocery store.
91% will stock up when their favourite
product is on sale.
86% try to buy enough food to prepare
meals for at least 3-4 days.
18% rarely
cook from
scratch
when the
same thing
is available
ready-made
in the supermarket.

82% study flyers, promotions and discounts
before their shopping trips.

78% are concerned about food safety.
76% prefer purchasing brand name
products that are on sale rather than
private label brand products.

71% think that convenient food is
usually not the healthiest.
69% purchase the same brand name
products on a regular basis.

33% want to
be the first
person among
their friends and
family to try
new products.

68% think shopping for food products
is a time to explore what's available.

64% go to multiple stores to
get the best deals.
56% consider it important that ethnic food
products are culturally authentic.
54% have used their smartphone to
make a purchase decision.

49% say it takes too long
to earn rewards through
loyalty programs.
