HOW LONG HAvE YOU BEEN
A MEMBER OF SGMP, AND
WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO jOIN?
i have been a SgMP member going on 18 years -
since September of 1997 when the northern light
chapter was first chartered. at the time, i found
that the educational platform that SgMP
provided was a vital resource for my planning of
WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE
SGMP CHAPTER MEETING AND WHY?
Northern Lights Chapter
Program Specialist (Ret.),
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN
YOU'RE NOT AT WORK?
i enjoy what most Minnesotans do, namely fishing,
golf and going to the lake "up north."
over the course of time, i have likely attended
more than 160 chapter meetings, so to pick one out
as memorable takes some reflection. i would say
that the one that sticks out in my mind the most was
probably my very first one. it was June 10, 1997
at the old regal hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
it was a one-day educational meeting prior to our
chapter chartering, and there were some 60 people
in attendance. The number of attendees obviously
indicated that there was a real interest in the Twin
cities for a SgMP chapter. as a matter of fact,
i still have a 64-page handout from that meeting
entitled "a Meeting Planning guide to flying by the
Blueprint of your Plans." i have used it as a resource
for years. To be honest, prior to that meeting,
i probably did not even know what a room set was.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST jOB?
My first job was as a caddy, and then i graduated
later at age 15 to grocery store carry-out boy.
