Supplier appreciation and awards Banquet.
Wild West Oklahoma
The Supplier appreciation and awards Banquet on June 12 was
kicked off with a welcome by chapter President alice Moore. The
hyatt regency Tulsa served as the host for the event, providing
a delicious lunch. Michael farr, with the hyatt regency Tulsa,
addressed the audience, and a representative from Domestic violence
intervention Services discussed the community service project,
expressing their appreciation for Wild West chapter's involvement.
The main feature of the banquet was "Shape the future of your
SgMP." During her State of the chapter address, Moore highlighted
that the Wild West chapter is no. 1 in the nation for member ratio,
and the chapter had its first member, Brenda gentry, obtain the
government Meeting Specialist (gMS) certificate. The chapter
also received the chapter Merit award at the national education
conference and expo in Portland, oregon. She recognized ginger
Thompson for her financial savviness, which kept the chapter in its 80
percent educational/20 percent operational ratio, and she discussed
the results of the chapter survey.
on June 5, executive Director and ceo rob Bergeron visited the old
Dominion chapter. he attended the board meeting and was able to see the
unveiling of the chapter's new website along with the chapter board. rob
answered questions from the board members related to national scholarships,
chapter awards and membership reports, and he also provided updates on the
national Board and SgMP headquarters. old Dominion members who were not
able to attend the 2014 national education conference and expo appreciated
the additional updates. The evening closed out with the Banquet, auction and
awards ceremony. The event was hosted by the hilton garden inn Downtown
richmond, where everyone enjoyed a steak dinner.
