At the unit's heart, DSP based controls allow for PID settings with fast settling times. This feature combined with sound electronics design and quality components results in great temperature stability and higher reliability. Computer interface is possible via a USB terminal. LabVIEW drivers are included with the computer interface as a standard feature. All pertinent TE cooler parameters ITE, VTE, temperature sensor (°C, R, Amp, or Volts) are measured and simultaneously presented on the four line alphanumeric LCD display. All standard temperature sensors including thermistors, platinum RTD, AD590/592 and LM335 IC sensors are supported without the need for additional interface units. Sensor calibration constants are easily programmed for direct readout in °C. Key Features Turn-Key control kits for high power Laser Diodes and Bars Sink up to 200 W of device heat at 25 °C without water-cooling Precision control of device temperature and operating current Newport's new turnkey solution for controlling high power laser diodes and laser diode bars does not require any water cooling and includes a High Power Laser Diode Driver (a 5600-65, 560B, 5700-80-7 or 5700-30-5), a high power temperature controller (either 3150, 350B or 3700), a 763H Series high power laser diode mount, and the required interconnect cables. Just add the high power bar diode of your choice, and you will have all the precision control over temperature and current that you require. The kits come in different versions such as the FSBAR-KIT for free space diode bars and the FCBAR-KIT for fiber coupled diode bars. Both versions can provide up to 80 A of diode driver current, and sink up to 110 W of waste diode heat.
