A funny pacifier!

As a background
Gaëlle used tags to create a textured
background. She began gluing them on a
30 x 30 cm cardboard (12" x 12"), and then
applied a coat of gesso over the whole
background. Before drying it, she sprayed
it with a pink ink and spread it with a brush,
roughly mixing it more or less to the gesso

areas. She dried the whole and worked
with inks and stencils, then with stamps,
in various colors. She then dropped in a
few blobs of blue and white inks. Once
the background was completed, all that
remained to do was to place picture, embellishments, title and journaling.
Once upon a time there was a
little girl who, as a baby, had taken the satin edge of the blanket
of her little bed as a pacifier. She
always got to sleep smoothing the
edge with her hand until the action
happened to slow down, and
sleep came over her. One day,
she discovered another pacifier,
which she adopted: it was her
dad's earlobe. To go to sleep,
nothing more enjoyable... for the
child than massaging it, but what
about the father's position, squatting on his heels, trying to overcome the cramp that threatened
his leg...
One day, the little girl fell ill with
such a high fever that her dad, a
doctor, due to emotion running
high, could make neither head nor
tail of it! He called his best friend: a
renowned pediatrician of the city
where he lived. It was a nasty fever, but she would recov-er, said
the called-for specialist, who noticed the strange merry-go-round
of the little girl trying to get hold of
her father's ear. He was interested in such issues about pacifiers
and collected samples of them,
going so far as to photograph
them. What do you think happened? It was the specialist's ear
the baby seized!...
Morality: never without my pacifier!
