At a time when the Chinese composite market has started to recover,
due notably to an increase in the wind turbine market, we interviewed
Prof. Zang Dingjin, who governs the destiny of one of the largest Chinese
groups in the sector and who has a keen interest in carbon fibre.

JCM: What is the current business scope of CCGC?

Pr. Z. D. : Our business

last interview with us dates
back to late 2011. Has the
market changed in China
since then?

Pr. Zhang Dingjin :

The wind turbine blade industry was partially confronted
with excess capacity due to
the adjustment of the wind
energy industry since 2011,
and this affected our profitability to some extent. Therefore, we promptly adjusted
our product structure and
managed to retain our market
share due to our technical innovation and the outstanding
quality of our products. Since
the second half of 2013, the
blade market has rebounded
after hitting the rock bottom.
In 2014, CCGC's blade production is at full capacity with
a huge increase in purchase
orders and profitability.

years, CCGC will continue
to focus on its major business, namely the production
and sale of carbon fibre, wind
turbine blades, ACCC, FRP
pipes & tanks and composite
boats & yachts, and to
endlessly expand both upstream and downstream the
value chain to increase
our innovation ability and
market competitiveness.

markets in your business
today and what activities are
you pushing here in China and
