Produced and edited by Grainnet Editor Greg Sullivan, current and recent podcasts can be accessed from the Grainnet home page at www.grainnet. com. They are listed in the center column of the home page, directly below the “Top Stories” section. Some recent podcasts on Grainnet have included: • Recurring interviews with leading grain merchandising experts: Darrel Good, University of Illinois; Jay Fitzgerald, Advance Trading Inc.; Kyle Smith, FC Stone LLC; Diana Klemme, Grain Service Corp.; and Philip Luce and Sherry Lorton, White Commercial Corp. • Jacob Bylund, attorney with the Des Moines, IA firm Faegre & Benson LLP on reducing counterparty risk and managing forward contracts. • Arlan Suderman, market analyst with Farm Futures, on the battle for acres and 2009 planting intentions. • David Fairfield, director of feed services for the National Grain and Feed Association, on NGFA’s distance learning program on feed quality assurance. Webinars Grain Journal also now offers free online webinars, combining live audio broadcasts with online powerpoint presentations. These interactive events also allow participants to ask questions of the speaker via text.
