Now, the 2009 edition—the 8th year of the calendar—is available. Selyem and his wife, Barbara, who writes the “Old Time Elevator” feature in Grain Journal, began selling the grain elevator calendars in 2002, and it has sold out every year. The calendar covers the last six months of 2008 and all of 2009. It features 13 of Selyem’s full-color images of historical grain elevators throughout the United States and Canada collected since 1990. The photos measure 12 inches by 12 inches. Hanging, the calendar is 12 inches wide by 24 inches tall, with plenty of space for marking appointments and reminders.
