Darin Stutler has been vice president of sales for Bratney Companies’ Cimbria product line since 2002. In this interview, he relates how the Des Moines, IA-based company is serving the milling industry. Products and Services Bratney Companies offers a variety of products and services for the milling, seed, feed, grain, food, and bulk handling facilities around the world. Cimbria and Heid products. Bratney markets Cimbria and Heid products for cleaning, sizing, grading, and processing grain products. Screen fabrication. Bratney does inhouse screen manufacturing for Cimbria, Clipper, and Crippen screeners. Packaging/palletizing. Bratney represents packaging and palletizing systems for bagged products. The company also maintains its own service department for onsite preventive maintenance of packaging and cleaning equipment. Contractor services. Bratney provides engineering, construction, and millwright services for the grain processing industry. More recently, we have become involved with biodiesel plant design and engineering. Family: Wife, Ann of 10 years (a 13-year Bratney employee); daughters, Macy Lynn (3 years old), Madeline Grace (7 months old). projects, we act as the engineer, supplier, and millwright. Our company takes responsibility from start to finish. This eliminates the problem of multiple companies being involved that do not take responsibility when items do not work as promised. At Bratney, our word is our bond. We stay onsite until problems are resolved. We ensure that the equipment’s performance matches the specs that were promised. New Products One of Cimbria’s newest products for the milling industry is the Model 157 line of high capacity precision cleaners with recirculating air systems, industrial mechanical design, and sanitation features. Another new product is Cimbria’s Drum reel for pre-cleaning wheat before it enters storage. The drum cleaner works in conjunction with the Cimbria standalone aspirator system.
